Description
Poem describing experiences of a militia battalion in wartime, including vivid images of the bombing of Darwin and jungle training in Darwin and Queensland. The poem expresses feelings of self-doubt and frustration at not seeing action, and assesses the 8th battalion's performance on Bougainville during July and August 1945.
