Description
Depicts two elderly men walking along a footpath , past a paper headline which declares 'Hawk lands at Gallipoli'. Sean Leahy became the youngest, regularly published cartoonist on an Australian daily newspaper in 1975 when he was 17 years old. He began his career as a cartoonist for the 'West Australian' newspaper and for 8 years studied graphic design and completed a press artist's cadetship at the 'West Australian' . In 1983 he moved to Queensland to draw for 'The Sun' and the 'Sunday Sun'. His work has also appeared in the 'Courier-Mail', 'The Australian', the 'Bulletin' and in several overseas cartoon exhibitions and newspapers, such as the 'LA Times'.
