Portrait of Commander Rodney Rhoades, DSC MID, Royal Australian Navy. Commander Rhoades was awarded the MID in 1941 and the DSC in December 1941. He commanded HMAS Vendetta from March 1940 to August 1941 and HMAS Quickmatch from commissioning on 14 September 1942 to 11 March 1944. The DSC was awarded for service in the Mediterranean.
