Collection of Lieutenant Clifton Albert Sweetnam, 53rd Battalion
Description
Studio portrait of 2496 Private Clifton Albert Sweetnam, 7th Reinforcements, 1st Battalion. A builder of Paddington, NSW prior to enlistment, he embarked from Sydney on 14 July 1915. In August 1916 he transferred to the 53rd Batttalion and in January 1917 he was promoted to lieutenant. In 1919 he returned to Australia.
