Bay of Biscay. 1943-05-19. The occupants of the dinghy were two officers who survived after a British aircraft had been shot down. One was badly injured and died soon after the Sunderland which had alighted on the sea to rescue them had reached its base at RAF Station Mount Batten, Plymouth, England.
