Description
Phuoc Tuy Province, Vietnam, c. 1967-05. View southward near Ap Lo Gom, showing one of the two 1.8 metre high barbed wire fences that enclosed the minefield that ran from Dat Do to the coast. A section of the second fence is visible at far right. The two fences were about 100 metres apart and ran parallel to each other for the entire 11 kilometre length of the minefield. Members of the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), are working on either side of the fence. The Long Hai Hills can be seen in the distance at left.
