Description
Vung Tau peninsula, Vietnam, c. 1967-06. Members of Support Company, the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), relaxing with a few drinks in the beer garden of the Beachcomber, a bar located just outside the 1st Australian Logistic Support Group (ALSG) compound on the Back Beach Road to the town of Vung Tau. Left to right: ? Kennedy, orderly room clerk with Company Headquarters; Private (Pte) Anthony Huon 'Shorty' Dwyer; Pte Ray Waters; Lance Corporal Peter Budworth; unknown; Corporal Trent Grall. With the exception of Kennedy, all are members of 3 Section, Assault Pioneer Platoon, with the Support Company. Grall is the Section Commander and Budworth the 2nd-in-command.
