Hiro, Japan. 1948-10-11. Interior of an ESBD main stores shed at 14 Australian Workshop and Park Squadron, Royal Australian Engineers, where Australian soldier are standing beside a tractor with Japanese civilian employees. Many thousand tons of stores of almost every type were handled in these store-houses used formerly by the Japanese. The storehouses are equipped with overhead cranes and railway tracks.
