Collection relating to the Second World War service of B2964 Able Seaman Ernest Albert 'Ern' Toovey, Royal Australian Navy.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection contains an illustrated memoir written by former Able Seaman (AB) Ernest Albert 'Ern' Toovey, describing his experiences of Navy service in Second World War, including HMAS Brisbane and HMAS Perth. After surviving sinking of Perth, he was captured as a Japanese prisoner of war in South East Asia.
Please note that a discrepancy with the page numbering occurs at pages 53-55. Although it appears page 54 is missing, the content remains sequential, implying a misnumbering, as opposed to a missing page.
