Collection relating to the Peace Monitoring Group (PMG) service of Patrick Anthony Foley, Department of Defence, Bougainville, 2000-2001.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of a postcard Foley wrote to a colleague at the Department of Defence in 2000 while deployed on Operation Bel Isi as a civilian peace monitor with the PMG on Bougainville. He writes of the arduous training he underwent with the Australian Army prior to deployment, the natural scenery on Bougainville, providing aid to locals, and the pace of his work.
