Description
Probably Srinagar, Kashmir. c.1975-05. In flight view from a Caribou aircraft of snow falling on an airstrip. The aircraft was flown by members of No. 38 Squadron, RAAF, who formed part of the Australian contingent to the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNIMOGIP). The group supervised the ceasefire between India and Pakistan in the Jammu-Kashmir region. Note the snow covered mountains in the background.
