Description
Australia, 1926-1935. Supermarine Seagull III A9-3 of No. 101 Fleet Co-operation Flight RAAF being lowered onto the deck of the seaplane carrier HMAS Albatross. The amphibious aircaft, recently returned from a flight, has just been hoisted out of the water by one of the ship's cranes. One of the seaplane's crewmen who had attached the cable of the crane to the aircraft while it was in the water is riding on the top wing of the seaplane. At rear, two other Seagulls are already resting on the deck of the ship, including aircraft no. A9-2.
