Probably Richmond, NSW, 1935-1940. Hawker Demon A1-17 probably of No. 1 Squadron RAAF resting on its nose in an airfield after a landing accident. RAAF ground crew are making preparations to right the aircraft. The RAAF Hawker Demons were unusually accident-prone aircraft, the RAAF losing 29 of its total of 64 Demons through accidents.
