Description

Collection relating to the First World War service, interwar career with Qantas and Second World War service of 415 Lieutenant Wilmot Hudson Fysh, No. 1 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps (later Squadron Leader, Royal Australian Air Force), At sea, Egypt, Turkey, England and Australia, 20 October 1914 - c. 1945.

Folder 3 of 4 - Contains illustrated prints and postcards depicting Second World War aeroplanes in scenes such as air battles, bombing raids and regular flight operations. Five illustrated prints from the "Aeroplane Series" published by Brownlee Studios Ltd, feature British official war artists Charles Ernest Cundall, Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson and Norman Wilkinson as well as Geoffrey Herbert Pooley. The original titles of some or all of these artworks differ to the titles that appear on the prints published by Brownlee Studios Ltd. This folder also includes four sets of postcards (24 in total and blank on the versos) from the "Britain's Air Power" series published by J. Salmon Ltd, and illustrated by artists Albert Francis Derek Bannister and Roland Davies.
