Canberra, ACT, 1942. Two North American B25 Mitchell bombers belonging to No. 18 Squadron, Netherlands Air Force, in a hangar at the RAAF Station (later RAAF Base Fairbairn) where the squadron was based. The squadron has recently taken delivery of the aircraft at right from the United States Army Air Force (USAAF), the aircraft bearing USAF insignia which have yet to be painted over.
