Beanland, Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), air gunner. Front row: Flt Sgt D. J. Mason, RAF, navigator; Pilot Officer C. W. Crabtree, RAF, pilot and captain of the aircraft; 418698 Flt Sgt A. Bennett, RAAF, navigator and bomb aimer. Beanland, Mason, Crabtree and Bennett were killed when the Halifax they were flying was shot down near the town of Wojnicz in the Letowice region of Poland on 1944-08-05.
