Collection relating to the Second World War service of NX15705 Corporal John Hurst "Jack" Edmondson, 2/17 Australian Infantry Battalion, Australia, 28 June 1940.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection contains one letter from Corporal Jack Edmondson to his mother's cousin Althea from Ingleburn Army Camp. In his letter, Jack gives a brief description of guard duty and the large number of men in training at Ingleburn. He also mentions that [NX30001 John Henry] Jack Ledwidge has joined the Australian Army, the possibility of meeting Althea in town for an outing, and that he expects to embark soon for overseas service.
