Collection relating to the military career of VX20308 Lieutenant General Frank Horton Berryman, KCVO, CB, CBE, DSO, GHQ SWPA, GOC East (Md), 7 Australian Division (formerly 2 Corps, Land Headquarters (LHQ), 2 Australian Divisional Artillery, 5 Australian Field Artillery Brigade, 14 Australian Field Artillery Battery, 18 Australian Field Artillery Battery, Royal Australian Artillery, 6 Australian Division), 1920-1953.

Wallet 1 of 90 - Wallet consists of Lieutenant General Frank Horton Berryman's diary for the year 1941. It includes short entries on the battles of Bardia and Tobruk fought in January of that year, as well as entries on the activities of the Australian Imperial Force in Egypt, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon. The Syria-Lebanon campaign from June-July is extensively covered. The diary contains two photographs, including one of Lieutenant General Berryman.
