London, England. C. 1943-09. This bust of an Australian Air leader is included in the RAAF War Collection in Britain. Shown: 413086 Sergeant L. S. Lowder of Punchbowl, NSW, in front of a bust of Air Vice-Marshal F. H. McNamara VC CBE by Donald Gilbert, a young English sculptor at present serving in the British Army. The bust is on display at RAAF Overseas Headquarters. (The bust is now preserved in the AWM collection at ART34904)
