Description
The gondola of a US Navy (USN) airship which is tethered to the ground at Cuers airfield, near Touon in southern France. Visible at left is one of the airship's two engines, with its propeller. A number of sandbags are attached to the base of the airship to help keep it on the ground. (Donor M. Johnson)
