Norway. C. 1943-05. The Tirpitz (arrow) at her usual berth in Aas Fjord. This oblique photograph, taken from a Russian reconnaissance aircraft, shows admirably the area in which the German battleship has spent most of the time since she was launched, and emphasises how daring and hazardous was the feat of the British midget submarines which torpedoed her at this anchorage.
