RAF Station Ford Sussex, England. C. 1944-03. The Duke of Gloucester, attended by Group Captain Lord Willoughby de Broke, visited No. 453 (Spitfire) Squadron RAAF and inspected the Squadron. After the inspection, some of the pilots relaxed in the Officers Mess. In the centre with his hands round his knees is the Squadron's Commanding Officer, Squadron Leader D. G. Andrews DFC of Southport, Qld.
