London, England. C. 1944-04-18. Flying Officer (FO) R. C. Dunstan, RAAF, from Cranfield, Vic, received the DSO from King George VI at an investiture at Buckingham Palace. FO Dunstan lost a leg whilst serving with the Army and later enlisted with the RAAF in which he served as a rear gunner in bomber aircraft.
