France. C. 1944-04-18. This photograph was taken by a cameraman of the RAF Film Production Unit who was flying in one of Bomber Command's aircraft during an attack on the railway yards at Juvisy-sur-Orge on the night of 1944-04-18/19. Smoke from fires started in the railway yards drifts across the target area. The light from one of our flares is reflected in the River Seine.
