Includes speeches by The Honourable Gordon Freeth, Minister for the Interior; Dr C E W Bean, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Australian War Memorial; dedication by the three service padres; talks by Raymond Ewers, sculpter; Napier Waller and Major J J McGrath, Director of the Australian War Memorial. The opening ceremony was broadcast live by the Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC), the announcer is Graham Chisolm.
