Aitape, New Guinea. 1945-02-23. Personnel of the 2/4th Infantry Battalion, 19th Australian Army Brigade, give eyes right to the General Officer Commanding, 6th Australian Division, during a march past. The Brigade had just been withdrawn from a two and a half month action against the Japanese in the area. The leading personnel are NX152 Major M.K. Rungie, Commanding Officer, NX5086 Captain R.D. Bawden, Adjutant, Sergeant Major R. Watson, Regimental Sergeant Major and QX1258 Captain P.R. Cohen, Company Commander.
