Ferrari Oreste was an Italian partisan and Peck’s ‘second-in-command’ in their organisation to assist escaped prisoners of war in reaching the Swiss border. Oreste was responsible for arranging guides to the border. He was arrested with Peck in January 1944 and spent the remainder of the Second World War in concentration camps.
