Description
Depicts the silhouette of a US F16 fighter-interceptor aircraft superimposed on a map marked with various directional symbols . Above this is a silhouetted night skyline with weapons, explosions and anti-aircraft tracer and flak making star patterns in the night sky. An apocalyptic representation of sun burst or weapons explosion in a smoky sky features at the top of the canvas. This work was produced by the artist, Patrick Faulkner , in response to the First Gulf War (1990-91) .
