Portrait of Trooper John Dalby Pollard, wearing the myrtle green uniform of the 1st Australian Volunteer Horse (NSW). The sword is an 1885 pattern trooper's sword. Trooper Pollard was born on 12 December 1872 and was a life-long resident of Goulburn, NSW. The portrait was made at Mooroowoolen (now Marulan), NSW, around 1900.
