Vietnam. c.1969. Two 5KVA field generators with fuel cans linked by hoses to a 44 gallon drum (out of sight). The generators were initially designed to run for four hours continuously off the fuel cans but the drum connection was later introduced to ensure longer running time. This new system resulted in major repair problems with the generators.
