Three survivors of a Wellington aircraft B Bob of No 172 Squadron RAF, in dinghy after their crippled aircraft flew into the sea in the Bay of Biscay after being shot down by a German submarine on the nighte of 1944-08-27. They were rescued by a Sunderland aircraft P Peter of No. 10 Squadron RAAF piloted by Flight Lieutenant W. B. Tilley DFC of Melbourne, Vic.
