Description
A collection consisting of a manuscript entitled 'Life in a Wartime Detonator Factory', a newspaper article 'Danger on the Home Front', a photograph of Mr Hunter and a commentary oh the photograph. 'Life in a Wartime Detonator Factory' gives a detailed account of Mr Hunter's work at Chemist in Charge of the Detonator Factory at West Maribyrnong (Vic.) during World War Two. The manuscript gives details on what the work involved, what the workers, in particular women, had to endure, and some of the accidents that occurred.
