Imphal, Manipur, India. C. 1944. H. H. Bodh Chandra Singh, the Maharajah of Manipur, visited an Indian Air Force squadron which had been operating on photographic and tactical reconnaissance in the defence of Imphal. During the visit H. H. the Maharajah of Manipur was keenly interested in the armament of a Spitfire aircraft, details of which were explained to him by Air Commodore S. F. Vincent DFC AFC, Air Officer Commanding the RAF Group which operated during the battle of Manipur, Wing Commander P. H. Lee DFC and Squadron Leader Arjan Singh DFC (right), accompanied H. H. the Maharajah on the visit.
