The 9th Battalion Guard of Honour
"This guard was supplied by the members/ of the 9th Batt on the 15th August when Parliament/ was officially opened by His Excellency Sir Leslie Orme/ Wilson, Governor of Queensland. The officers of the/ Guard are Capt Elliott, Lieut Beck (King's Colours) and/ Lieut Palmer. Escort of the Colors [sic] Sergt Dalziel VC, and/ Sergt Blaw MM. The 9th Batt band in charge Drum/ Major I S Cole, and Serg E Warden (Bandmaster)./ The right and left guards are Sgt Major D. Sullers, Sgt Major A Burton/ and Sgt Major A Hibbs. The men of the guard are from [illeg]/ H.Q. Wing, Albion 'D' Coy and 'B' Coy and Sandgate 'B' Coy".
