Studio portrait of 5146 Allan Benson McDougall, who left Australia with 16th Reinforcements, 12th Battalion, and was later killed in action at Mouquet Farm, France, with 52nd Battalion, on 4 September 1916. He was the son of William Charles McDougall of Middleton, Tas. and a cousin of Stan McDougall VC.
