Description
Saarbrucken, Germany. C. 1944-12. A damage plot showing approximately six square miles of Saarbrucken. The solid black marks denote visible damage in attacks by RAF Bomber Command up to 1944-10-29. Parts within unbroken black line denote areas fifty per cent built up to fully built up. The railway yards have also been attacked by the 8th United States Army Air Force. This is how damage is marked in Bomber Command's famous "Blue Book".
