Description
A collection consisting of mainly letters written by Corporal Lawrence to his parents. The last letter was written the day before he was killed in action. Also included is a handwritten notebook of poems "Collection of Original Poems Composed by Digger Authors". One of the poems 'A Soldier's Prayer' is presumed to have been written by Lawrence. The collection also includes letters of condolence to his mother, the Certificate of Discharge and Record of Service book for his sister Private Gladys Lawrence and a letter written to her parents about the death of her brother.
