Sale, Vic. C. 1944. Front view of Avro Lancaster bomber aircraft, A66-1 (formerly RAF registration ED980), nicknamed "Queenie VI", showing several maintenance personnel working on the aircraft at RAAF Station, East Sale. This aircraft was flown by Flight Lieutenant P. Isaacson DFC DFM and his crew from England to Australia arriving at RAAF Station Amberley, Qld on 1943-06-03, and subsequently used in War Loan Rally tours.
