London, England. 1945-02-09. Wing Commander (Flying) Albert Lloyd Wiggins of Woodville, SA, at RAF Coastal Command. Commission in 1941, in 1942-11 he received the DSO. He led an unescorted section of bombers to attack an enemy supply convoy off Tobruk. In 1944-11 he was awarded the DFC for the success and leadership of an attack on a convoy of ten enemy ships.
