Description

Krefeld, Germany. 1945-02. In an attack on enemy communications of 1945-02-23, RAF Spitfire aircraft of 2nd Tactical Air Force scored direct hits with two 500 lb bombs on the double track railway line between Geldern and Krefeld, behind the German front line. A RAF Reconnaissance photograph shows how effective the attack was. The railway tracks were blown in all directions over a distance of 100 yards.
