Description
Troops of 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), line the rails of the ship New Australia as it leaves the wharf to return home to Australia. 1RAR had just completed twelve months service in Korea. Identified in the image eleventh from the left is Private Steve Dodd, an indigenous serviceman.
