Kalawthut, Burma. C. 1945-04. The bridge near Kalawthut, twenty two miles south of Moulmein, on the Moulmein-Bangkok railway after the RAF Liberator aircraft of Strategic Air Force, Eastern Air Command had discharged their loads. One span of the bridge has been completely demolished, whilst the permanent way has been torn up and wrecked for many yards on the approaches.
