Manuscript presented in three parts.

Part 1 details the history of the 2nd Australian Casualty clearing station from august 1915 through the change of commanding officer in March 1917. Included in Part 1 are lists of equipment, staff and transport arrangements for the unit. Part 1 includes anecdotes and details relating to life in the unit, and details some personalities from the unit.

Part 2 details the experiences and actions of the unit from April 1917 to March 1919. Part 2 includes accounts of the unit in action at the battle of Messines and other activities of the unit during the period covered.

Part 3 details the men of the units thoughts on saluting and their experiences in French towns behind the lines. An appendix is included containing additional information, and 9 captioned black and white photos relating to the units various camps.
