Studio portrait of 156 Private (Pte) John ‘Jack’ Helenus Scott Hamilton, 11th Australian Light Horse Regiment. A station-hand prior to enlisting on 2 January 1915, he embarked from Brisbane aboard HMAT Medic (A7) on 2 June 1915. He returned to Australia on 5 February 1919.
