Description
One of 8 humorous cartoons collected by O216731 Squadron Leader James Henry Cox, RAAF, while attached to RAAF Base Woomera crica 1955. Collectively the cartoons provide insight into the attitudes and experience of Australian personnel of No. 1 Air Trials Unit (1ATU) Target Aircraft Flight. This unit operated the pilotless V12 Jindivik, Meteor U15 and Canberra U10 aircraft as targets for radar tracking and live firing, using surface-to-air and air-to-air weapons.
