Bangkok, Thailand. 1945-04-18. Lock gates on the western canal system of Thailand between twenty five and fifty miles from Bangkok were destroyed at three points in a low level daylight attack by RAF Liberator bomber aircraft of Strategic Air Force, Eastern Air Command. Shown, the lock gates of the Klong Phasi Charoen after they had been destroyed by the RAF Liberators. Sunken shipping can also be seen lying in the water. Several RAAF members were in the attacking force.
