Burma. C. 1945-05. Squadron Leader M. C. Roy Marten, of Mellor Park, Semaphore South, SA, who was one of the last RAAF officers to leave Burma during the Japanese advance in 1942, was also one of the first to re-enter the country with our advancing forces. He is senior Administrative Defence Officer of a RAF Wing in Central Burma. Here he is interested in the local Burmese method of hand-spinning cotton.
