Northern Iraq. Major (Maj) Mark Little of the Australian Service Contingent, Operation Habitat (Australia's contribution to the multinational response known as Operation Provide Comfort) at one of the roadside camps visited by the roving medical treatment teams. 75 members of the Australian Army took part as a contingent in the multinational humanitarian relief effort to the displaced Kurds. The Australian contingent provided medical and other health care to the Kurds of the Gir-i-Pit region north of the city of Dahuk.
