Studio portrait of 417673 Sergeant Murray Frank Sweeny RAAF, pilot of Prospect, SA, attached to a photographic folder with two attached newspaper clippings.
Later promoted to Pilot Officer, then Flying Officer Sweeny, and a member of No. 463 Squadron RAAF, was awarded a Distringuished Flying Cross for actions in keeping a damaged aircraft on target, completing the mission and returning safely.
