England. C. 1945-05. One of the first official RAF photographs to be released showing the way fog was dispersed by artifical means from RAF airfields. Known as FIDO (Fog Investigation Dispersal Operation). A RAF De Havilland Mosquito aircraft, taking off between two bands of flame as the fog is dispersed on a unknown RAF airfield.
